Reverend Hennie Nothnagel, Priest in Charge
I am delighted to have been called to serve at St Mark’s. I am determined to add value to the parish’s continuous deepening walk with Jesus. I want to support and encourage its wider connections with the local community, via Café Church, by networking with people I know and pray with in the community, and through participating in outreach activities such as the fruit and vegetable co-op and monthly Saturday car boot sales. I feel a special connection with the parish “Mission Action Plan”, especially its priority for showing and sharing God’s love.
Before taking up this role, I was Assistant Priest in the parish of Epiphany in Masterton, working with my wife Reverend Sarah Nothnagel. Prior to that, I served in the parishes of Kapiti and Shannon-Foxton.
I was born in South Africa and have lived in New Zealand since 2005. Sarah and I have two adult sons – Juan and Shaun. Outside of church and work, I enjoy taking road trips on my motorcycle and exploring my love for people and coffee. Check out my most recent coffee mission, the coffee cart outside St Mark’s.

Reverend Judith Wigglesworth
All Saints in Palmerston North and Wellington Cathedral of St Paul in Wellington are the places of my beginnings and my growing in God. An increasing openness to God’s call led to my ordination in 2008 and to subsequent ministry roles at the Cathedral and other Wellington parishes. My walk of faith has been enriched through regular times of retreat and contemplation, and I love to create such opportunities for others. I moved to Carterton in 2018 with my husband Roger, seeking to grow a ministry of retreat hospitality and spiritual companioning. We have three adult sons, all living overseas.
