Easter Saturday – Service of Light
16 April 2022
The service started with the lighting of fire on the church steps to symbolise the light of Salvation and the Hope that God brought into the world through Christ’s resurrection, dispelling the darkness of sin and death. We processed into the darkened church where the Paschal Candle symbolising the Light of Christ, was lit. We also marked the institution of the sacrament of baptism and then celebrated the Eucharist.
Car boot sale – Little Parish Bookshop
2 April 2022
It is amazing what fog covers, but the sun hovers above it. The venue was not too crowded, but there was lots of communication and conversation. Eventually the sun warmed everything up. Live music from Frank added to the good feeling of community. That was all complemented indoors by the Little Parish Bookshop, pleasing many readers. Also in the hall, preserves went well, baking sold out, and plants moved to new homes. Thanks for all the support Carterton! We would like to see you all again (maybe with your friends) on Saturday 7 May.

All the fun of our Parish Fair
17 October 2020
Lots of happy faces from many places. Thanks for your support.
A cold morning with threatening rain, but a lot of community spirit was shared. Hot sausages, coffee, tea, tacos, devonshire teas, were available to warm people up; ice creams were extra tasty with real fruit. Happy faces left the face painting as well as the bric-a-brac. Plants were sold to people who are keen to see them grow to potential, so we really made a mark on the future of Carterton!
